Centro de
Estudios e Investigaciones Herpetológicas

The "Centro de Estudios e Investigaciones
Herpetológicas" (C.E.I.H.) is a non profit, non government
institution dedicated primarily (but not only) to herpetology research
and was declared "of Municipal Interest" by the Municipality of
Dolores, Buenos Aires, Argentina, where the centre is located.
We do a lot of field work, especially related with
wildlife reproduction, management, conservation and preservation; and
we also participated in several international projects such as faunal
rescue operations in Brazil.
The C.E.I.H. has been providing at no cost,
scientific advice, dehydrated snake venoms, live/preserved specimens,
and local support and facilities to different argentinian and foreign
researchers and institutions which requested our collaboration.
Educational activities in cooperation with museums,
schools, universities and private and government organizations were
developed from many years ago.
The C.E.I.H. has no financial support from
government or private companies and the activities developed are
suported just by volunteers.
